Minions Water Shooting Game

Minions, what fantastically fun creatures. They’re cheeky, loveable and funny. We recently saw the new minions movie, now everything is minion themed, so what better way to extend the fun than to make a game.

Stacked minions

This game was so easy to make, we painted some thermo (polystyrene cups) yellow and blue using acrylic paint.

We added some eyes by cutting circles out of white foam, gluing them onto the cups and adding the black dots and goggle straps with permanent markers.

Minions

We stacked the cups up and got shooting with some water pistols.

It was a good challenge to see who could knock the minions down the quickest. Pinky was quite determined.

I recommend you don’t play this when it’s windy as the cups will blow away, but, it’s a fab game on a calm summers day.

Everyone had fun making their minions cups and playing the game. It got quite competitive in the end.

After we’d had enough of the water pistols, Boo turned it into skittles. She lined the cups up like skittles and bowled them down.

There are lots of different things you could do with this game to extend the fun.

  1. The Minion cups are great, my boys would love these, infact, Finlay is reading over my shoulder and has just decided we need to do it.

  2. They look fab! What a great idea. I guess you could do them with any character, but Minions are certainly popular right now and they look so bright and happy for the summer! Great that you could do different things with them too.

  3. What a creative idea! I love minions! Your little ones look so happy. It’s great that they tried different things with them too. You can do so much with this! I can’t wait till my daughter is old enough to have fun in the garden like this. 😀

  4. How cute are those minion pots! Very contained of the children to just blast the pots and not each other, I know just how that game would have ended here! I love the laughter in their faces blasting the line of cups. A brilliant game.
