Instead of a simple two-layer structure with space to get into and exit the bed open at both sides, the Erin bunk bed uses one edge as a makeshift wall, benefitting from a range of shelves at different levels.
The wall and shelving even rises above the top mattress, ensuring that both children have access to their own storage space – yes, no more fighting over top and bottom bunk with this bed!
In addition to the open shelving, a large drawer has been built into the structure of the bottom bunk – finished with a wood effect surface finish which perfectly compliments the otherwise very white overall design.
This use of mixed textures adds a little aesthetic detail and keeps the entire bed in line with modern living.
Access has been elevated around the circumference of this bed, by leaving the base of the bottom bunk open-ended and fixing and broad and stable ladder to the edge of the bed for the top user.
Finally, you will notice that the top bunk is surrounded on all sides with a raised wall – perfect for optimum safety and security during use.
